“Who we are” and “Who we're not”

“Families and Ireland” was created by two professionals, Emma-Jane e Roberta, in the field of language education, specialised in the area of childhood and of bilingualism in families. We promote many activities both in Italy and in Ireland with the purpose of sharing with other families (first and foremost our own) this wonderful experience of a second language in a domestic setting. We know that the advantages are many, not least of all that sense of intimacy and exclusivity which sharing a second language with one’s dearest affection gives.

We are not a travel agent and we don’t offer a package holiday! Imagine leaving independently for a destination.

Families and Ireland allows Italian families the possibility to get in contact with educational structures, local camps and Irish families (or hotels) in order to autonomously organise their own trip and the activities there. Relations with local structures are organised directly by the Italian family with the aid of Families and Ireland. Families and Ireland provides practical support in the organization. Emma-Jane and Roberta make their personal and professional skills available in order to favour social meetings and the sharing of this cultural experience within one’s own family as well as in specific teaching moments on site (by request). The knowledge and experience of the territory allows for the organisation of afternoon activities appropriate for families with children (like our own!) and mixing in with the local people as much as possible, for an experience to be remembered (and even repeated) in time.
